Awanahouse, Chiang Mai, is a gorgeous guest house located in the heart of the old city near Thapae Gate.
Our guest house is located at convenient distances from the popular tourist sites in the city, Mae Ping River and Night Bazaar are two of the famous attractions in Chiang Mai. The Sunday Walking street is just around the corner. Arcade and Chang PhueakBus Stations are at a close proximity too. Chiang Mai International Airport at 20 minutes drive.
Sixteen immaculately furnished rooms with modern amenities provide an ideal stay in Chiang Mai. All rooms have comfortable beds with spring mattresses and fine upholstery. The amenities featured in the room include air-conditioning, Wi-Fi, TV, and a refrigerator.
For travelers on a budget we have 2 rooms with a comfy doublebed and Fan, sharing a separate outside bathroom/toilet.
There is hot and cool water supply in all bathrooms. Awanahouse uses environment-friendly solar energy to provide hot shower water.
You can enjoy a cool dip in the guest house's swimming pool after a long day of exploring the hotspots of Chiang Mai. Next to the pool is the Awanahouse Restaurant, where we serve refreshing drinks along with Thai and western dishes for our beloved guests. From our Panorama Roof you can view the old city with its many temples and the mountain of the famous Golden Wat Doi Suthep. In the evenings, you can meet friends, talk about your day’s experience and make new plans for the upcoming day. We serve drinks and play soft, soothing music for our guests at the restaurant.
We also arrange exciting trips for you – you can go for a visit to any of the Hill tribe villages (Lisu, Akha, Longnecks, Hmong, Meo). The trek duration varies from 1 to 3 days as per your choice. Additionally, you can walk, see the elephant or take a bamboo raft on the river to traverse through the mountainous regions covered with forests. San Kamphaeng and Baan Tawai are villages outside Chiang Mai city where you can purchase handicraft items such as lacquerware, silverware, hand-painted umbrellas and extraordinary wood carvings here.Also explore the natural beauty of Chiang Mai by visiting waterfalls, butterfly farms, orchid gardens and elephant camps scattered across the landscape.
You can also take a scenic tour to Mae Hong Son, Pai, Chiang Rai, the Golden Triangle and land at Chiang Mai or Chiang Khong to take the boat to Luang Prabang in Laos.
You can have the entire experience of visiting a Thai home, see how the Thai make rice, raise fruits and learn to cook local cuisines. You can even choose to stay with your hosts for the night. The next day you can take a tour of the village and enjoy a boat ride on the beautiful Doi Tao Lake.
Many options to make cycling tours in the country side or walk through the old city which features many old temples and wooden houses that display the native architecture.
